Today, 7 March 2024, the Independent Parliamentary Expenses Authority (IPEA) released the 1 October to 31 December 2022 expenditure reports for current and former parliamentarians. These reports are now on our Reporting page and will also be available in comma separated value format on data.gov.au in approximately 3 weeks.

An opening statement for the first Estimates of the calendar year has become an IPEAn tradition. I thank you, once again, for the opportunity to reflect on some of the significant matters with which IPEA engaged in 2023 and identify emerging matters.

Parliamentarians and their authorised staff can access and review their expenditure report through the ‘Certify Expenditure Reports’ tile in the Parliamentary Expenses Management System (PEMS).
Expenditure reporting is now available in PEMS

Expenditure reports from 1 July 2022 have been postponed to the second half of 2023. IPEA will provide updates on progress when available and will publish a reporting schedule as soon as publication dates are confirmed
